Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026. This policy explains how Upwell Credit (“Upwell Credit,” “we,” “us”) handles information collected through this website.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your first name, email address, state, preferred contact method, and phone number if you ask us to call or text you; your consent choices; and, if you complete the credit needs assessment, your answers to it.
- Technical information: our hosting provider processes standard technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and request times, to deliver and secure the website. We store a one-way hashed version of your IP address for a short time to limit abuse of our forms.
Please do not send us your Social Security number, date of birth, account numbers, or identity documents through this website. Our forms do not ask for them.
How we use information
- To respond to your consultation request using the contact method you chose.
- To keep records of your request and your consent choices.
- To protect the website and our forms from abuse and fraud.
- To send you educational emails or offers only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website and respond to you, such as website hosting, database, and email delivery providers, under terms that limit their use of it; and when required by law. Text messaging consent and phone numbers are not shared with third parties for their marketing.
Text messages
If you agree to receive texts about your request, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
How long we keep information
We keep consultation requests for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or a longer period is required by law. We keep records of consent choices for as long as needed to show how and when consent was given or withdrawn.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to stored requests. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can ask to access, correct, or delete the information you gave us, or withdraw marketing consent, by email at [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under state law; we will respond to requests as required by applicable law.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
